Background
About Marcus
Marcus came to private practice by an unusually instructive route. After graduating from the University of Michigan Law School, he clerked for Justice Megan Cavanagh on the Michigan Supreme Court — reading how the state's highest court actually evaluates arguments — and then litigated for the City of Detroit Law Department before joining Baldori Law. Clients get the benefit of both perspectives: how judges read a case, and how government lawyers build one.
His practice centers on the matters where a person's everyday life is on the line: DUI defense and driver's license restoration, expungements and firearm rights restoration, divorce and custody disputes, and business litigation.
Marcus also leads the firm's Michigan cannabis licensing practice, where he has helped dozens of clients across the state with license applications and transfers, municipality selection, facility setup and inspections, and presenting business plans to banks, investors, and local governments. He additionally holds a Michigan real estate broker's license — a practical advantage in matters that touch property.
