There is a difference between being "smart" and being "facile". The neocon cabal - Wolfowitz, Feith, Rumsfeld et al - were all proclaimed geniuses by their publicists. But none of them were very smart. Take Douglas Feith for example, otherwise known as the "undersecretary of state for fiascos." Amost every decision he made, or policy he recommended, ended up in disaster. General Tommy Franks, quoted in Bob Woodward's Plan of Attack, calls Feith "the fucking stupidest guy on the face of the earth." Based on the easily ascertainable record, this conclusion is hard to avoid.

It is pretty much established that Michigan is the best state in the union to live. https://www.thrillist.com/travel/nation/ranking-the-united-states-of-america-from-best-to-worst. Any doubters should take a few days and drive up the coast of Lake Michigan from St. Joe to Mackinac. It is a breathtaking trip. Incredible beaches, wonderful resort towns, vineyards and fruit orchards, quaint fishing villages, art communities, bountiful farmland.

We are buried in data. A recent PBS film on Big Data asserts “If you live in a major city, you’re expected to use as much data in a single day, as your 15th-century ancestors encountered during their ENTIRE LIFETIME! (emphasis added)

Its the hair. You can’t be president with that hair. You can’t make America great again with that hair as president. if you elect a president with hair like that you will make America the laughing stock of the world. It is a total contradiction. So stay focused on Donald’s real problem.

Nobody in their right mind would choose to live in Manhattan, which tells you something about the millions of people who would never leave - most of them very nice people. But their unwillingness to make a run for it remains a total mystery to any rational person.
